It is reported that China is one of the four largest fruit and vegetable producers in the world. At present, the processing capacity of fruits and vegetables is less than one seventh of the output, mainly fresh food. According to the prediction of relevant departments and the experts of fruit and vegetable research, the development, research and utilization of the following seven types of fruit and vegetable processing equipment and key technologies and processes should be accelerated in the future.
First, beverage processing machinery. Speed up the development of aseptic filling technology, improve the production capacity of filling production line, improve the existing equipment and automation level, promote computer-controlled automatic production line, and further promote the application of high-pressure sterilization technology.
Second, vegetable processing equipment. We should improve the standardization, automation and mechanization level of existing equipment, strengthen scientific research and development, establish a national research center and base for fruit and vegetable processing machinery, and establish an information cooperation network for fruit and vegetable processing technology and equipment, so as to keep abreast of the development trends at home and abroad.

Sixth, drying equipment. We will accelerate the research and development of heat pump, heat recovery and automatic control equipment, and improve the utilization rate of energy.
7. Quick freezing equipment. Improve the automatic control system of the existing equipment, increase energy, develop liquid nitrogen quick freezer and steel belt quick freezer, etc. Improve the performance and standardization, automation and mechanization level of supporting machinery.
